Final Round of Predictions

This Sunday sees the final game of the Premier League Season which also brings an end to the 2018-2019 Prediction League.

Just like to thank everybody that has taken part and I look forward to a brighter Prediction League 2019-2020.

Still all to play for!

It’s getting to the business end of the season where Champions are crowned, Promotions are won, play-off places fought for and relegation battles ended . Not forgetting the top 3 in our Predictions League will be announced with prizes to be awarded.

My thoughts are already thinking about next seasons prediction league and look forward to bringing you a bigger one than ever. I am hoping to sponsor another popular tweeter that will bring new blood to the predictions league and you will also be able start and keep control of your own private leagues where you can provide your own prizes (or just for bragging rights), or charge your entrants a nominal fee to build your own prize pot. Please note that private leagues will be monitored only by the creator and I will not be held responsible for any of them.

Coventry v Acc. Stanley

What a difference 2 months make! I have been unable to produce previews due to a problem with my laptop constantly being reformatted by Windows Update.

In my last preview vs. Rochdale I noted that we had finally managed to score a goal from open play and now we are on a run of 5 winning games to first time we have managed to do this since Gordon Strachan’s reign. Bakayoko, Chaplin, Clarke-Harris, Jordy Hiwula all getting into the scoring habit with team morale looking as good as it was during last season, the team that Mark Robins’ built is looking more and more like a team that has gelled together and playing for each other.

Last time out we played then 7th placed Doncaster Rovers and completely out-played them in the 1st half taking a 2 goal lead at the break with goals from Jordy Hiwula and a first ever professional goal for Derby Loanee Luke Thomas. But the 2nd half belonged to Doncaster who were very unlucky not to go home with a least a point and a last minute block on the line from Junior Brown meant the Sky Blues wrapped up the 3 points for the 5th successive game in a row leapfrogging Donny into 7th position.

Accrington are currently in 6th place and have taken this league by storm since they gained promotion last season.
