The Milton Keynes born midfielder began his senior career in Scotland with SPL outfit Kilmarnock, in which he made over 100 appearances during a four-year stay with the club.After a spell at Bristol City, the 27-year old transferred to Oldham Athletic and then Leyton Orient, captaining both sides. Kelly has also made one appearance for Scotland, making his debut in a friendly against Luxembourg in 2012, coming on as a substitute for Charlie Mulgrew in a 2-1 victory. Liam joined the Sky Blues from Leyton Orient, following the end of his deal. Kelly formed a partnership in midfield alongside captain Michael Doyle, and the duo quickly became part of a popular fan chant. The midfielder suffered an injury over the festive period, but he quickly returned and become a key player in the Sky Blues securing promotion back into League One.
