Tom Bayliss signed his first professional contract with the Sky Blues earlier this year, following a string of impressive performances with the under-18s.Tom continued to work hard during the early months in his first spell with the first team and was rewarded for his efforts in November. Bayliss was handed his debut by Mark Robins during the 2-1 win in the EFL Trophy against West Bromwich Albion under-23s, when he came on as a substitute to replace Dion Kelly-Evans. This would be only the beginning for Tom, as once he made his first start in December 2017, he never looked back as he became a key part in the starting eleven. Bayliss would go on to make 30 starts in his first season with City, helping the Sky Blues win promotion to League One. His performances were also recognised by England as he was called up to the Under-19 European Championship side, making his debut against France Under-19.
